The Louis Vuitton 2025 Spring/Summer Men’s Collection pays homage to the shared inhabitants of our planet, presenting a human perspective from a cosmic viewpoint that emphasizes the vastness and collective strength of humanity. Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams contemplates a unifying approach that resonates globally for Louis Vuitton. Through this collection, Louis Vuitton evokes the tendency to broaden one’s horizons through travel, highlighting our commonalities across the globe.
Emblems of the traveler are seamlessly integrated into the silhouettes. From cropped tailored jackets to bomber jackets and kimono collar knitwear, pilots inspire aviation apparel elements. Diplomats influence the sleek double-breasted coats and suits, along with straight or flared trousers. Comfortable sportswear and refined workwear are designed for the casual traveler. Explorers inspire a sophisticated interpretation of sportswear, while tributes to football reflect the world’s most unifying sport.
At a distance, silhouettes appear soft and monochromatic, but up close, complex details emerge, stimulating senses and emotions. This mirrors how skin appears uniform from afar but reveals complexity upon closer inspection. Inspired by the diversity of human skin tones, the color palette reflects the diversity of garments made from luxurious silks and translucent colored fabrics. Patterns and monograms have skin-like textures, woven materials mimic animal hides, and accessories evoke the touch of skin.
The Paris-based creative team Air Afrique contributed to the collection’s cinematic prelude and brand promotion, aiming to preserve the legacy of the defunct pan-African airline. Drawing inspiration from original Air Afrique luggage, they designed check patterns and blue-green and brown color schemes for Damier check for garments, scarves, shawls, and bags.
Each design is filled with intricate elements, inviting observers to look closer. Buttons on clothes and bags transform into ornaments, adorned with miniature world maps, airplane motifs, pearls, and crystals. Rolled edges resemble strings of delicate pearls, meticulously sewn along the edges of sportswear. The collection showcases a variety of embroidery techniques, with intricate Fair Isle patterns made from crystals, pearls, and thread, and windowpane Damier designs embellished with pearls.
The new collection introduces a range of soft leather goods, including classic bags from Maison’s history, such as Alma, Christopher, and Neverfull, redesigned in ultra-soft, luxurious leather with aged VVN trim and featuring an iconic, slightly enlarged brown Monogram. All bags in the soft leather goods collection feature metal plaques inspired by vintage luggage tags.
The collection’s footwear draws inspiration from classic travelers. The LV Agent features squared-toe and chunky leather soles in black or brown glazed leather embossing, reminiscent of the Silhouette bag. The LV Bowling shoe is crafted in the collection’s skin tones, made from Nappa leather and rubber soles, presenting an elegant silhouette. The LV Rider cowboy boots now come in black, brown, or tan exotic patchwork styles, as well as Monogram leather, suede, and python. Finally, the LV Footprint Traveller embodies the comfort-focused essence of the globetrotter.
Pilot caps in aviator style feature pins as a nod to the aviation industry, while sleek berets for agents are adorned with deep black flocking, crystal decorations, or crafted in asymmetric shapes. Leather and velvet gloves draw inspiration from spy codes, incorporating motorcycle details and pearl embellishments. Classic silk ties and bow ties, silk bras, opera scarves, and belts elevate formal attire.
The Explorer series includes double gold-plated compass brooches connected by jewelry-grade gold chains, gold-plated sunray explorer brooches adorned with pearls, and rotating map pendants on signature chain embellished with rhinestones. In addition to Damier pattern micro-detail earrings, there are pearl studs, some with pearl pendants. Flight badge brooches with gemstones and enamel reinforce the sentiment of global travel.
